The Hírös Kecskeméti apricot brandy already existed between the two world wars and earned great popularity: in the 20’s it was a major U.S. export, and the visit of Prince Edward- British heir to the throne- was also commemorated with a special edition of this brandy. Hírös Kecskeméti is a registered trade- mark since 1937. The brand will be reintroduced in 2009 at the zwack pálinka manufactory in Kecskemét. In accordance with consumers' tastes, in addition to the unique peach pálinka, pálinka-based specialties made with honey, honey, fresh fruit and fiery 50-degree spirits make up the new famous Kecskemét series.
